GETTING
THERE
NISEKO
JAPAN
From
Australia, fly to Sapporo Airport on the island of Hokkaido. Airport
name is “Sapporo Chitose Airport (CTS)”.
Easiest way is to
do a search via
Zuji or other
similar online booking agents, many airlines service the Japanese
market however JAL and Qantas will provide the most direct flights.
JAL flights may have a Tokyo stop over and when this
occurs most of their fares include accommodation at no extra cost.
Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific service this route however
their flights are much longer but you may be able to do a stop over
in Singapore or Hong Kong.
Some Flights Are:
Passengers
arriving at Sapporo/Chitose airport have the choice of about three
bus companies that take you to the Niseko Ski area. We
recommend
Whiteliner / Goodsports who have a desk and pick up
service at the airport between the JAL and ANA arrival gates.
The bus ride to Niseko is about
two hours and there may be a stop but not always. The bus
stops at the Hirafu Welcome Centre and then travels on to the
Higashiyama Prince Hotel. From here you can either use a Taxi
or Shuttle bus to where you are staying or in most cases you will be
picked up by staff from your lodgings.
Travel around Niseko is easy with a local shuttle in Hirafu and a
regular bus service between the main resorts. There is also a
free bus in the evenings into Kutchan if you want to do some
shopping or to visit one of the many Restaurants.
